Frequently Asked Questions
Each city includes a printable quest booklet for your child, and a simple parent guide for you.
The quest booklet has simple objectives tied to real places, that help them look, notice, and wonder about the places you’re visiting.
The mobile-friendly parent guide includes just enough context and practical tips to help you navigate each site.
These books give kids something of their own to notice, follow, and return to as they move through a place.
Sometimes that helps in the moments when attention starts to drift or the day begins to speed up. Sometimes it simply means lingering a little longer, noticing more, or sharing the experience differently together.
The goal isn’t to control the day. It’s to help meaningful places feel a little less rushed—and a little more enjoyed.
Neither, really.
It’s not trying to explain everything and it’s not about checking off answers.
Each quest gives your child something meaningful to do—look, move, touch, notice, wonder about—right where you already are.
The goal isn’t to cover more. It’s to help them stay a little longer and engage more deeply with the places you visit.
You’ll receive a downloadable PDF bundle:
✦ A printable booklet version (for the most immersive experience)
✦ A single-page version (for easier printing or mobile viewing)
✦ A separate mobile-friendly parent guide for easy reference
You can print at home or at a print shop.
These books are designed for ages 5–10.
Younger kids can engage with the simple objectives and visual details, especially with adult support.
Older kids can go a bit further—making connections, asking questions, and taking more ownership.
Even adults can use the prompts to help them slow down and be present in the places they visit.
Not at all.
Quests can be done in any order, skipped, revisited, or simply dipped into when it fits your day.
The best path is the one that works for your family.
As much or as little as you have.
Each quest is designed to fit into the places you’re already visiting—whether you pause briefly or stay longer.
That’s completely fine!
The goal isn’t to complete every quest—it’s to spend a little more time engaged with a place than you might have otherwise.
The quest booklet is designed to be printed and used as you go—something real and tactile for kids to hold onto.
We do include a more mobile-friendly version, though. Just in case.
The parent guide works well on your phone, so you can check it when you want and ignore it when you don’t.
A wayfarer is someone who travels with attention.
Not just moving from place to place, but noticing, wondering, and experiencing what’s there.
That’s the idea behind these books.
Not to see everything.
But to experience places more fully, together.
